Recently there has been a rash of complaints about some China products that have been exported causing problems for the end consumer because they weren’t up to the accepted quality standards of the international community. It appears that much the same as the rest of the world, the multinational purchasing businesses who are hit the hardest and the worldwide sourcing community, wants to learn more about this.

The product quality from China has always been a problem but in it was expressed positively. It was expressed from a perspective that resulted in complementary remarks about how for such low production costs, the Chinese export product manufacturers could maintain international quality standards. Worldwide sourcing businesses acknowledge this fact that the increasing China exports to Western European countries and the United States was convinced that in spite of the low production costs, the product were passing quality inspections which is a fact that the multinational purchasing people couldn’t deny.

In addition to China, the United States, Europe and Japan are sourcing food product globally. Japan’s Ministry of Health reported that Europe exported 99.38 percent of the food products, the United States exported 98.69 of the food products, and China exported 99.42 percent of the food products. All of these products were inspected for standards and safety.

The Chinese government and Chinese export product manufacturers generally acknowledge a lack of quality assurance, which can be attributed to a lack of awareness in a small number of Chinese export product manufacturers. But, multinational purchasing and global sourcing businesses are beginning to ask questions about what actions China intends to take.

China’s government has to make sure that the demands by the global sourcing and multinational businesses as well as the countries who are importing the products are met. In the first place, the respective governments are charged with much higher responsibilities and can impose the prohibition and restriction of some products that are exported from China in the name of the environment and the safety and health of plants and animals. If China breaches this it could attract suspension of their license to export for one to three years. Also, these offences could be dealt with as criminal procedures.

Multinational and global sourcing agencies have wanted to blacklist those businesses that are violating these trade regulations. This is being handled by the departments such as the customs and revenue authority through an offenses information exchange system that is intended to track and eliminate dealers who are violating China’s export product traders and manufacturer’s regulations. The multinational and global sourcing purchasing businesses have asked for the blacklisted businesses to be publishing which has been agreed to.
