Many of us hold tension in our neck from the stress of daily life. Some have neck pain because of increased muscular tightness from habitually poor posture. Others may have experienced an injury that has left them with ongoing discomfort in their neck. Whether you are currently experiencing neck pain or have suffered from neck pain in the past and don’t want your symptoms to return, these simple stretches for neck pain can help.
If you are in pain currently, make sure that you start with the beginning neck stretches and only move on to the more advanced stretches when you are ready. It is important to listen to your body and progress as your body is ready.
Beginning Stretches:
*** Note *** Don’t move onto the more advanced stretches until you are comfortable with the beginning stretches.
More Advanced:
Remember that stretching to decrease neck pain and improve neck mobility takes time. Be consistent with the neck stretches and you will begin to decrease muscle tension, decrease neck pain, improve your postural awareness and improve your neck mobility.
