Why Install passenger Lifts?

As we get older many of us experience mobility difficulties. It can be stressful and traumatic if we have to leave our homes because we can no longer access the upper floors.

As well as the stress involved with moving home it can also be expensive and can mean that we have to move somewhere less spacious, meaning that it becomes more difficult for friends and family to visit and that we have to get rid of many of the treasured possessions we have collected over the years. Stair lifts generally work off the mains power supply of the house but are backed up by a battery power supply which means that in the event of a household power failure the lift will keep moving, meaning that there is no chance of the lift being stuck half way up the stairs.

Stair lifts have come a long way since they were first invented and are extremely slimline with foldable seats, meaning that they take up very little space and do not obstruct your stairs when not in use.

They can also be purchased in various styles meaning that they can blend in well with your home’s decor and so will not stick out like a sore thumb. In addition, stair lifts run very smoothly and steadily which means the user will not feel uneasy when using passenger lifts but will enjoy a nice, relaxing ride up and down their stairs.
