When considering to buy a car one of the most common choices to make is whether to buy a hatchback. A hatchback has many positive aspects to consider one of which being the price. But before I get into all the wonderful reasons to buy a hatchback let me firstly explain to you what makes this model of car so different in respect to other cars.
The hatchback is so called because of the way the car is designed. The hatchback has a passenger cabin, 2 or 4 doors and a hatch. The most common type of hatchback is the 2 door kind. Hatchbacks are designed to serve two functions; one being to transport passengers and the other being the transportation of goods which can be loaded into the car via the hatch at the back, giving it the name hatchback!
Why is this better?
Well unlike other models of 4 or 2 door cars, the hatchback can cater for both passengers and cargo. It does not compromise on space for passengers by leaving appeal leg room for passengers between the back and front seats and when you need to transport cargo you can flatten the back seats to create a flat bed. The design makes the access point (through the rear) easy to load goods, so you do not need to struggle to get things into your car.
One of the other reasons why people choose the hatchback is its price. Hatchback cost less to produce because they are massed produced, and maintenance costs are low because many times they are produced locally and so the parts are easy to find. Another way which you can save money when buying a hatchback because the hatchback is very economical. Hatchbacks are smaller lighter cars and because of this they use less fuel, so you save money on fuel costs, yet another good reason to get a hatchback.
It is small but powerful
Even though hatchbacks are considered entry level cars and you can get them for much cheaper than other models of cars you should not think that the hatchback is lacking in anyway. Hatchbacks come in many designs and most car manufactures have a hatchback in their range of cars.
As with all other cars you get top of the range hatchbacks with bells and whistles and the lower ranged hatchbacks which are plain and simple. Your cheapest being your basic hatchback and the most expensive (yet still cheaper than other types of cars) which comes along with all the frills at the top of the range. Even with the cheapest hatchback on the market you still receive a good reliable car, which costs less to buy and maintain, and reaches decent speeds it just has less of the trimmings. The slightly pricier hatchbacks however come with as many of the trimmings as you like. High-end hatchbacks come with remote controlled MP3 players, USB ports, electric windows, sun roofs, extra compartment space which is located in hidden panels. And the best yet is that hatchbacks can reach fast speeds! Could you think of better reasons to buy a hatchback?
