Children learn by example. They learn all our incorrect habits, bad words, and incorrect attitudes. But just as much, they learn from the good things we do as well. My oldest boy did not want to sit with me and listen to me read him books. I’ve always loved to read and it’s been extremely major to me as our kids grow. I have constantly read to our children. But my partner seldom reads. I realised that my son was not watching me, but his father. My partner and I tried something. He begun reading every day. Pretty soon, my son was ready to sit down and listen to the story. He wanted to be like his dad. He was bringing me books and asking me to read to him.
We can nurture learning in our children. Every situation we cross can be a learning experience. Teaching our children involves more than just moral and ethical learning, but basic school type learning.

As you are driving down the road, have your youngest children pick out specific letters on the billboards you pass. Have small kids discover a specific colour. You can turn dinner time into a fun counting exercise. Let your children figure out times tables while you prepare the table for lunch time .

When children can see how the things they learn in school apply to their daily life, it makes it more fun to learn these things. It can help them become more excited about school and make learning easier.

Find ways to nurture learning in your children, both by teaching and example. Get them excited about learning and you can open doorways for them. There are so many opportunities available and so many things that we can learn from. Make sure your kids take advantage of all they can. Be the example to them in their lives.

Our children learn from their peers and the more respect they have for a peer, and then the more likely they will listen, learn and take on the traits they like about that perboy.

Treat or reward your kids when they have done well. They may fail at first in the job or chore given, but with the right nurturement they will learn from their errors. I’m not saying to buy them something expensive or extravagant, but treat them to maybe a shopping trip and lunch out. Buy them some clothes, treat them to a new bag, new trainers or maybe leather jackets are their liking.
