Local small business champion, tax and accountancy specialist Donovan Crutchfield of TaxAssist Accountants in Putney was awarded top prize for fastest growth at national awards held on Saturday 5th March at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwickshire.

Donovan, who has provided specialist tax and accountancy advice to the local small business community since 2007, spoke of the achievement:

, Barnes and Wandsworth, are starting to see light at the end of the recession, however there are still issues we are working with them to overcome. Small businesses in the area really need the banks to live up to the promise of lending 15% more to SME’s.”

Donovan also cautions local businesses across the area to make sure all books and records are up to date, as the HMRC has recently launched its “Business Records Checks” campaign to crack down on poor bookkeeping. If records are not kept in order penalties of up to £3,000 can be issued.
