“Last year, I may have had a tough time here and at Wimbledon, but it is sometimes difficult to play the perfect game. That’s why you should accept it and continue working. I have always done quarterfinals or semifinals, so this is another step forward for me here.
“I did it for the final and I’d like to win. I know I have to play Rafa, but I’m ready.”
Nadal has an incredible record at Roland Garros and looked near his best in the last two rounds against Robin Soderling, Andy Murray, in marked contrast to some games before, when he admitted he did not play well enough to win the title.
