I love guns and ammo. And I do not actually know why.
Maybe it’s mainly because my father loved to shoot. It absolutely reminds me of him and a few of the awesome occasions we had collectively out hunting or just shooting at the variety. I guess you could possibly say it is in my blood.
I guess that’s why I got to thinking currently… just what is it that makes me so keen about guns and ammo? For example… When a near friend stated that he realized a fellow who was contemplating promoting or buying and selling a rifle, I started to get that… ‘Man I would like that’ feeling.
But why? I don’t require yet another gun. I do not have a lot of funds, just watching for a gun to buy. But there’s just some thing about obtaining a brand new gun that just will get me enthusiastic. I suppose any person having a hobby they enjoy understands how I feel. A golfer or a tennis player in all probability feels the same way about the “tools” of their game.
Anyway, that is what I think it ought to be like. It’s just about an enthusiasm you’ve for the pastime. And I’m keen about everything connected to guns and ammo.
I enjoy sighting them in to create them correct, I love to shoot them, I get exited about trying distinctive types of ammo, and I appreciate to carry them in the woods although hunting. I appreciate working on them, fixing them if they break, and cleansing them if they’re dirty.
I am interested in all the elements, and prefer to attempt numerous points to see what operates perfect. I’ve touched up bluing, built components from scratch, refinished stocks, and produced pistol grips, taking advantage of just about every moment of it.

A lot of people Just Don’t Fully grasp
For a lot of people guns and hunting just isn’t exactly their preferred thing to complete. They don’t get it. Some really ridicule me for my hobby. “How can you would like to destroy something?” they say.
It’s not about killing. It’s about shooting. I haven’t killed a large number of animals seriously. I do go hunting as soon as in a while. But I usually eat what I shoot… or I be sure somebody else does.
It’s not about an appreciate of killing it is about an appreciate of shooting. It’s just one more “target” activity after all. Isn’t golf or basketball as well as soccer about “hitting your target?” That is the fun component for me.
My Love of Hunting Began Early
I suppose that I can pinpoint where it all began to my upbringing. Right after all, my Dad loved the outdoors plus the shooting sports. I have no notion where he acquired the bug. Maybe from his father but I don’t don’t forget my grandfather loving it as considerably as him. My Dad was just a passionate outdoorsman, so I guess he passed it to me.
Anyway, that is where it all began for me. I still bear in mind those weekend days out with my Dad, at times at the selection in the Fish and Game club. Each and every hunting season we took journeys to Northern Vermont and New Hampshire in December searching for whitetail. All I bear in mind now is I definitely looked ahead to these times - outdoors within the attractiveness of nature with my Dad.
Now I do not hunt everything that walks or flies, so claiming to need to have a diverse gun for each and every game animal doesn’t explain it. And I seriously only have 50 percent a dozen or so guns.
I’ve a .270 Winchester Design 70 Bolt Action Rifle for hunting deer 50 yds and out, a Remington Model 870 Pump Action shotgun for short array skeet, bird, and deer hunting, a Marlin Model 983s 22 Win Mag for correct plinking and hunting of small game. Also, I personal a S&W.357 Magnum in stainless for individual protection and target, a few break barrel and pump air guns, and an antique 22 Winchester long rifle that was my Dad’s gun.
So why do I get thrilled about a rifle I’ve never seen that I heard was for sale? I truly don’t know. The bottom line is, it’s a gun. I just really like ‘em. I guess I just long ago adopted my father’s motto: “If it shoots, I like it.”
I even adore ammunition, can’t get enough of it. Crazy I know. But if I can get a deal on some Remington.270 Win 130 gr, or Federal 12 gauge rifled slugs, I am one happy guy.
I guess I actually don’t know what it truly is that makes me so enthusiastic about guns and ammo. And I guess it truly doesn’t matter why we shooters really like what we do. We just do, that’s all.
Folks not familiar with the shooting sports activities could not fully grasp, but for those shooters out there, You know what I’m talking about.
